Alexa Gregory
Since 2007, Alexa Gregory has been working with the Collective Invention team to build a successful consulting and tool building company that makes the world a better place. A lifelong entrepreneur, she brings experience from a thirty-year career in starting and managing businesses. Alexa is committed to building strong collaborative relationships with project leaders and clients that lead to the smooth execution of operations and that deliver projects on time and on budget. With an attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities, she has insured that Collective Invention has grown steadily and smoothly and looks forward to improving existing and developing new internal management controls and financial processes to support leadership and decision making with continued growth.
Working with Collective Invention has strengthened Alexa’s financial knowledge but more importantly has broadened her understanding through exposure to a great variety of clients and the important issues that they work to address. Alexa brings her insatiable curiosity and commitment to life long learning to each engagement. She is grateful for a position that brings her in contact with the most important issues of our time and that of future generations including health, education, sustainability and ethical enterprise.
Alexa’s responsibilities range from financial operations, human resources management, operational improvements, and technology scanning to tools and website building. Her deep insights and functional skills contribute to all of Collective Invention’s web initiatives and products. She likes to think that she is the hub of the wheel at Collective Invention and that she keeps that hub well oiled.
Much of the work Collective Invention does includes projecting into the future and using stories to help find the way to innovations and solutions to intractable problems. By telling a clear financial story and by making well-considered projections about the future, Alexa hopes to guide Collective Invention’s success.
A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley in Health Arts and Sciences, with an emphasis on the history of public healthcare, Alexa went on to found several lighting design, manufacturing and retail businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area.
More recently, Alexa had early immersion in web 2.0 communication and marketing strategies and founded her own firm to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses from the ground up by taking full advantage of the world wide web. She is especially committed to teaching women to create their own livelihoods.
Alexa lives in the Bay Area with her family including her boomerang adult children.
